Bio

Moe Llanes has coached at Gavilan College for over 10 years. During that time, she has served as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's basketball teams, as well as associate head coach for the men and head coach of the women's program.

Llanes started her coaching career at Live Oak High School where she was the head assistant and focused on post development. She then became the head assistant at Cabrillo College where she was in charge of player development as well as strength training. Llanes loves to focus on player development on and off the court, team defense, strength and conditioning, as well as helping her student-athletes reach their next level in life. She has also coached AAU with Strictly Hoops of Marin and Lady Warriors of the South Bay.

Moe played locally at Live Oak High School where she was a two-sport three-year varsity athlete. Playing both volleyball and basketball for the Acorns, Moe earned All-League Honorable Mentions for basketball. She then played her first two years of college basketball and volleyball at Cabrillo College, earning First Team All-Conference both years for basketball. Moe received a scholarship to continue her playing career in both sports at Notre Dame de Namur University. At NDNU, Moe received her B.A. in Liberal Arts. She went on to receive her Masters in Sports Leadership from Concordia University.
