Rams' Mason Pound named NorCal Pitcher of the Week

Gavilan College freshman right-hander Mason Pound was named the Northern California Pitcher of the Week by the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA) after a pair of impressive starts to begin the 2025 season.

Pitcher: Mason Pound- Gavilan- 2 APP, 2 GS, 1 W, 13 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 13 K's, .133 BAA, 0.69 ERA 

The freshman right hander from Gavilan, Mason Pound, was dominant in his first two starts of the year. He started against Folsom Lake opening weekend by throwing six scoreless innings, only allowing three hits and striking out six while helping get the win 3-2. His second start was another impressive performance by going seven innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out seven. These two dominant outings earned Mason the first Nor Cal Pitcher of the Week award.
