Bio

Jamie Adams joined Gavilan College as the interim athletic director in August 2022 and became permanent in the position in July 2023.  Prior to joining the Rams family, she served as the Cuyamaca College (Rancho San Diego) head athletic trainer from July 2013 to December 2021 and the acting athletic director from January 2022 to July 2022. Prior to Cuyamaca, she as the assistant athletic trainer for the Sports Clubs program at UC San Diego. Adams has also spent time at Templeton High School in Templeton, CA, and worked with USA Water Polo as an athletic trainer. While with USA Water Polo, she traveled to several international competitions including the World University Games in Shenzen, China, and the Junior Pan-Am Games in Montreal, Canada. Adams received a bachelor's degree in sports sciences with an emphasis in athletic training from University of the Pacific before earning a master's in education leadership with an emphasis in community colleges at Northern Arizona University.
